Reconnect with Nature and live the richest, most fulfilling version of life together with your dog.
My goal is to get you out into the natural world to explore, exercise, play, learn, relax and enjoy new experiences together.
I know that a thriving life with a dog isn’t just about ‘training’ - it’s about nurturing your relationship, providing them with the best life possible and sharing fun, meaningful adventures together.
As a Canine Enrichment Coach, I specialise in creating nature-based adventures that promote positive wellbeing for you and your dog
Enrichment is a playful, nature-based learning journey that you and your dog take together; designed to improve your health, deepen your relationship, help you find new freedom and inspiration, enhance your quality of life and help you reconnect with the wilderness you were once a part of.
…You can only give your dog a life as rich as your own!

What IS Animal Enrichment?
When an animal lives in a captive or domestic environment, ‘Enrichment’ is the word used to describe all the ways we make the animals life look more like the life it would experience if it lived its natural lifestyle, in its natural habitat.
This involves providing the animal with actives and environments that stimulate their natural behaviours and instincts. When we do this, it increases their health, happiness, quality of life, and provides many other incredible benefits.
“Enrichment is More Like Nature”
Why is Enrichment important for Dogs?
Whilst we are accustomed to keeping dogs as pets, most people never realise that being a modern pet is not the natural lifestyle of a dog!
For many tens of thousands of years, dogs have evolved to exist as free-roaming animals; adapted to live across a broad range of natural habitats. Whilst their lives have always overlapped with humans, it is only in the past 50 - 100 years that we have normalised keeping dogs as modern ‘pets’. In fact, two-thirds of the dogs alive on the planet today still get to live out their lives as free-roaming dogs; many of which actually experience a much higher quality of life than that of many pets!

I believe that your dog is in your life because there is something big you are supposed to achieve together.
For many people, working with dogs forms a core part of life experience - providing unique opportunities for intuitive learning, health-improvement, self-development, creativity & inspiration, emotional healing, spiritual growth and connecting to nature.
My own life experience has led me to perceive dogs to be so much more than pets or even companions - they are teachers that enter into our experience of reality when they have something to share with us. When we are able to listen to them and follow them, they can show us things about ourselves and this life that we could not see without them.

Dog and human teams make progress across 6 key areas:
-
✔ You are ready to learn from your dog and let them take the lead in your life together.
✔ Your dog is able to be off-lead on appropriate walks.
✔ You want to get more active time outdoors with your dog, doing more of the stuff you enjoy doing together.
✔ You have done some socialisation with your dog and enjoy taking them out in public. You have probably done some basic formal training and maybe tried some activities or classes with your dog, but you feel a need for something bigger and richer.
✔ You already have a dog that is relatively healthy and happy; in a position where it is ready to have it’s life experience expanded.
✔ You have a little time (and money) to spare, and want to really invest into your relationship with your dog.
✔ You feel compelled to give your dog the best life possible.
✔ You are ready to do some personal development and health improvement as you grow alongside your dog.
✔ You want to find more time and space in nature, connecting to the natural world.
✔ You want to make the relationship you share with your dog a central part of your life.
✔ You are trying to find meaning or purpose in your life, and 'feel like' your dog is a core part of this process, but can't explain why.
✔ You want to pursue a self-led career in canine husbandry.
-
❌ You are looking to address behavioural problems with your dog, such as fear / social anxiety / aggression / antisocial, etc.
❌ You have never done any kind of basic training or socialisation with your dog.
❌ You are not already walking your dog 2 or 3 times (pretty much) every day.
❌ You are not able to take your dog out in public because they are poorly behaved on-lead, cannot be off-lead or are antisocial.
❌ You are looking to achieve behaviour change with your dog at home because they perform disruptive / undesirable behaviours.
-------------
These situations require a different approach and a different set of strategies for achieving more specific outcomes. If you find yourself in one or more of the above situations, but would still like to discuss ways I can help you with your dog, please still feel free to reach out.
Why work with me?
I have been a self-taught dog handler, trainer, educator, daycare group leader & dog care business owner for 15 years, and have accrued tens of thousands of hours of hands-on experience in the delivery of creative enrichment, over a career involving working directly with hundreds of dogs to a high, professional standard.
I developed and led a unique Canine Enrichment Program and am the creator of the first and most well-developed Enrichment Framework for dogs in the UK.
For 6+ years I lived in a purpose-built dog park that I designed, and spent all day, every day, providing care for a group of 5-10 dogs.
I have committed my career, travelled internationally and spent tens of thousands of pounds of my personal money to go on my own Enrichment journey; learning from some of the best in the world in their field along the way.
The Enrichment-based service that I offer is an entirely unique, holistic, nature-based, learner-led approach to animal care, health improvement and personal development.
I sold my business so that I could have complete freedom to pursue Enrichment with my own pet dog - I understand how valuable the time you spend with them is, and what they can teach us.
I work from my off-grid, 8-acre fishery and nature reserve space in the Shropshire Hills.
If you have a dog, you enjoy relative freedom in your life together and you want to invest heavily into your shared experience, whilst developing yourself along the way, this is the service for you and there is nothing else like it!
